    Description

1999 Tiger Woods Signed Official Scorekeeper's Sheet with Volunteer Badge & Other Ephemera - First PGA Championship Second Major. It was a particularly dominant season for this legend of the links, who would cop his first PGA Championship (second major) and win eight times in the calendar year. Tiger Woods' lone major occurred when he paced the field at the PGA Championship at Medinah Country Club in Illinois. The youngster had just enough to hold off Sergio Garcia in a thrilling finale.

This collection originates from the official scorekeeper for the Woods/Mike Weir paring on Sunday. The highlight is a scoring page (8.75x11") from the final day. The two-sided sheet has the scores for both Woods and Weir in pencil. This sheet belonged to the official scorer John Noel. "Scorer: John Noel" is written in pencil on one side. The participants are written in purple marker as is "37" (group number) and the start time. Noel kept his official scoring sheet and had Woods sign it in 10/10 black ink. Our guess is Woods would have been in a jubilant mood following his second Major win.

A few other mementos from that weekend are included: volunteer badge, parking pass, walking scorer schedule, course map, program and Sports Illustrated showing Woods from the event. There is a small color copy from page 36 of the Sports Illustrated with Noel circled and "My Dad Page 36" written by his son. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
