    Description

Uncommon, antique earthenware sand box in the form of an old urn. Prior to the invention of the wooden tee, tees were generally made from sand. Since carrying a pound or two of sand would have been a tad inconvenient for most golfers or their caddies, golf courses provided boxes of sand as well as buckets of water beside each tee. Impressed into a shield on the front of this interesting collectible is the number "18." There are minor imperfections throughout and some chipping to the bottom of each handle. 12"h x 16"w. Good +.

Note: Shipping amount will be affected by this lot's unusual shape, weight, or size, and also by its final value.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
