Description

Circa 1935-36 First Set Of Matched Irons Used On PGA Tour With Sam Snead Letter. At the suggestion of fellow professional Henry Picard, Sam Snead's first endorsement contract was with Dunlop. This lot is an absolute exquisite matched set of Henry Picard personal model irons dating to the mid-1930s. There is a beauty and simplicity to the complete design of these clubs---from the pure, simple parallel grooves to the black, red and faux wood grained shafts. The clubs have beautiful black leather grips. The seven iron is a Dunlop from the same time period that is evidently a replacement to the Picard set. Letter of provenance from Sam Snead. Letter of provenance from Jack Snead.
