A Pristine 1928 USGA National Amateur Program (Won by Bobby Jones) with Original Mailing Envelope. The 1928 Amateur Program is quite scarce and rarely offered. Especially significant is that this offering includes the original envelope in which the program was sent to Brae Burn member Mr. G. Adrian Sawyer of Waban, Massachusetts (a village in Newton where Brae Burn is located) and includes the Brae Burn Country Club's return address in the upper left hand corner as well as the original post mark in the upper right hand corner.

The inside pages contain one full page photograph of Bobby Jones, the reigning Amateur Champion in posed follow through along with a picture of the Amateur trophy (called the Havermayer Trophy), as well as a list of the entrants for 1928, a run-down of past championships, and assorted advertisements and acknowledgements. The select field of 158 included an array past and future champions. The field was cut to thirty-two after two rounds of stroke play qualifying. Next followed two rounds of eighteen hole match play to determine the top eight Quaterfinalists. Thirty-six hole matches were played from then on, culminating in a final on Saturday pitting defending U.S. Amateur Champion Bobby Jones against reigning British Amateur champion Phillip Perkins in an unofficial World Amateur Championship matchup. Jones won the contest convincingly, defeating Perkins 10&9. Condition is effectively NRMT with the slightest of dents to the top of the spine barely worth a mention, and almost certainly suffered in mailing. Unquestionably the finest surviving example.
