2002 Sam Snead Match Used Golf Bag Signed by Masters Winners. After what appears to have been a long and distinguished term of service to the links legend, Snead presented this staff bag to the attendees of a reunion dinner of past Masters winners for signing, creating a relic with equal appeal to both game used and autograph collectors. This would prove to be Snead's final visit to Augusta, as he would pass away just days short of his ninetieth birthday in May of 2002.The bag is exactly as Snead left it, with a handful of tees and a used ball in the front zippered pouch, an umbrella in its special sheath, an Augusta hand towel and "2002 Masters" bag tag, and another tag from the Pinehurst course in North Carolina. The bag exhibits nothing that could be characterized as damage, but clearly shows the signs of dozens of trips to the links with the sport's greatest name.
That name is likewise counted among the twenty-three bold sharpie signatures acquired at Snead's final Masters visit, a spectacular array of iconic golfers including Woods, Nelson, Watson, Palmer, Nicklaus, Faldo, Archer, Olazabal and many more. It's unquestionably one of the most impressive golf display pieces we've ever offered, and one of the final relics from the life of this American sports legend. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
