1970's Ben Hogan Personal Staff Bag. Patriotic red, white and blue bag is one used by Mr. Hogan during the 1970s period. A large white shield on the front of this gorgeous and well-used bag announces the names of both the golfer and manufacturer, Ben Hogan. Although retired from tour golf, Mr. Hogan remained an avid player at Colonial Country Club and Shady Oaks Country Club, in his home town of Fort Worth, Texas. This bag was retired from use when it was replaced with a new style bag, thus making the bag available to our consignor. As a note, during the period of this bag's use, Mr. Hogan accomplished a phenomenal golf feat by shooting a golf score that matched his age (at the age of sixty-four he shot a sixty-four, from the championship tees at Shady Oaks). Letter of provenance from consignor.
