    Description

1970's Arnold Palmer Match Worn & Signed Golf Shoes Obtained Directly from Palmer.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. That adage couldn't be more true than when our consignor encountered Arnold Palmer at the Latrobe Country Club in the early 1990's - his home course. The locker room attendant noticed Palmer was getting ready to discard a number of his old golf cleats into the garbage. The worker, noticing the size of cleats matched that of his father, politely asked if he could take them for dear old dad. Ever gracious, Palmer obliged and these were saved for future generations to enjoy.

Now we get to the autograph. Since at least one of the pairs of match-worn golf shoes was white, our consignor asked Palmer if he could sign them as they were to be worn for cutting grass. Again, Palmer came through in the clutch and signed them. These "Aristocrat size 11" shoes joined to Palmer for plenty of sessions to the coarse. The bottoms shoe good overall wear. Palmer signed the tip of both in 8/10 felt tip. Letter of provenance from consignor. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
