1970's-90's Willie McCovey Owned & Used "Burton" Golf Bag & Clubs from The Willie McCovey Collection. White leather Burton brand golf bag displays "Willie McCovey," "McCovey," "Stretch," Mac 44," baseball graphics and matching storm hood on exterior. Interior wells house thirty-three clubs (Power Bilt, Titleist, Ping, Auld Thistle, Lucky Lefty, Toney Penna, Lynx, Adams, Taylor Made, Callaweay, and T-Line brands). Pockets contain six headcovers (two Adams), scorecards, golf tees (some Don Drysdale Invitational), Titleist golf ball, Excedrin, and ephemera. The bag exhibits some wear but presents very well. The lot also includes an image (20x16" mounted on board) and program both picturing McCovey with the bag. Letter of provenance from Willie McCovey's widow.Auction Info
