1956 Boca Raton Pro-Amateur Golf Championship Tray Won by Sam Snead & Others. Sam Snead rightfully earned his nickname "Slammin' Sammy" for his uncanny ability to hit it long and straight down the fairway. Even when he had comfortably set into retirement, Snead wowed younger generations with his ability to still hit that white little ball. This presentation tray (18x13.25") was awarded for winning the 1956 Boca Raton Pro-Amateur Golf tournament held Dec. 30. "Won By Walter Shirley Thomas Shevlin Mort Bright Sam Snead" is etched on front which also has a unicorn at the center. Some surface wear (tarnishing) is visible on both sides. A maker's mark is found on the back of this silver-plated treasure.
