Description

1940 Jim Barnes PGA Championship Contestant's Badge. Two-time PGA Champion Jim Barnes was still competing as the decade of the 1930's came to a close and in late August 1940 he made another appearance in the PGA Golf Championship. Barnes wore this badge as he played in this PGA Championship in which Byron Nelson would edge Sam Snead 1 up in the 36 hole final match at Hershey Country Club. Measures 1.5" in diameter. This green enameled badge is in excellent condition and is a rare contestant badge of the four-time major champion.
