    Description

1928 Johnny Farrell Original Oversized Photograph by George Pietzcker, PSA/DNA Type 1. The 1928 Johnny Farrell didn't battle just anybody in the U.S. Open. His adversary in the 36-hole playoff was none other then two-time champion Bobby Jones. Farrell won his lone major as he held off the amateur. This original oversized photo (15.75x19.75") was taken the same year of Farrell's epic win. "Geo Pietzcker" is listed as the photograph on the lower right edge. Pietzcker is considered the top golf photographer of the early twentieth century, his work celebrated in the essential volume "Golf's Golden Age: Bobby Jones and the Legendary Players of the 10, 20's and 30's." LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.
