Description
1921 Alexa Stirling Signed Card. Alexa Stirling grew up in Atlanta and was a member at East Lake CC where she developed a lifelong friendship with Bobby Jones. Alexa, Jones, and other East Lake members played together in many, many exhibitions, notably for the War effort supporting World War I. Alexa owned the USGA Women's title for five solid years, winning in 1916 and again in 1919 and 1920, following a two year hiatus for the War. This is a scarce gorgeous fountain pen signature, dated 1921 in her prime. The medium is a neat little (2.25 x 3.5) card apparently created by a young autograph collector, complete with the return mailing envelope (unsigned). LOA from Mark Emerson.
