    Description

1967 Ryder Cup Medal Presented to Doug Sanders. The American team, captained by Ben Hogan and anchored by the great Arnold Palmer, made short work of the overmatched Brits at Champions Golf Club in Sanders' hometown of Houston, Texas this year, claiming the victory at 23 1/2 to 8 1/2. Presented is Sanders' personal memento from the famous international contest, a gorgeous crafted pendant just like those issued to Ben and Arnie. Obverse features a Ryder Cup trophy in miniature with four inset rubies. Verso is engraved "American and British Ryder Cup Matches 1967" and stamped by the jeweler "B.A.B. 14K." Measures just over an inch in diameter, in fine condition. Family letter of provenance.
