Description

1953 Ryder Cup Player Pin From The Sam Snead Collection. The 1953 Ryder Cup Matches went overseas to the famed Wentworth Club in the outskirts of London. Sam Snead was a US Team stalwart and this item is his personal player pin from this Ryder Cup. The pin features beautiful red, white and silver enamels and has Sam Snead's name engraved at the bottom. This pin is very small, just one inch across, but is extremely attractive. The original clasp on the rear appears to be bent but it is completely intact and in no way detracts from this piece. The rear also bears hallmarks indicating Sterling. Letter of provenance from Jack Snead.
