    1947 US Ryder Cup Personal Watch From The Sam Snead Collection. The first Ryder Cup Matches post World War II were played at Portland Golf Club in Oregon. After a ten year hiatus, there was great interest and Sam Snead was a part of the US Team. This watch is engraved on the reverse side "Sam Snead Member US Ryder Cup Team Portland, Oregon 1947." The maker is Lord Elgin. The watch is not in working order and a new band has been added. Letter of provenance from Jack Snead.
