Description

Circa 1970 Bobby Jones Handwritten Page with Fantastic Golf Content. The degenerative illness that would ultimately take Jones' life in late 1971 was tightening its grip as the iconic golfer penned these lines, but if his hand was shaky, his mind was as sharp as ever. He writes, in part, "...one must see a bit of Harry Vardon in Jack Nicklaus as he floats the head of his club into a short approach. A lot of both Nelson and Snead in same as he plays a medium iron and much of Hagen in Palmer in his play on and around the greens." Single legal-sized (8.5x13") lined page exhibits storage folds and mild handling wear but all ink remains 9/10 or better. Page is unsigned. Letter of provenance from Jean Marshall family. LOA from Mark Emerson.
