Description

Circa 1910 C.B. MacDonald Handwritten Signed Letter. Charles Blair (C. B.) MacDonald won the first ever USGA Amateur in 1895 and went on to a distinguished career as an architect of several early courses, his most famous being National Golf Links on Long Island. He also famously authored a well-known golf book "Scotland's Gift." His autographs are rare, let alone his handwritten initialed note on National Golf Links stationery. All fountain pen ink survives at a strength of 9/10, and the page exhibits original mailing fold and a small hole at upper left, well clear of the writing, otherwise NRMT. LOA from Mark Emerson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
