Description
1925 James Braid Handwritten Signed Letter. This is an outstanding handwritten note by the five-time British Open Champion James Braid. It is written on his spectacular personal letterhead to Rowan & Co., a department store that sold sporting goods. The company would employ golf professionals to demonstrate their equipment and perhaps play an exhibition. Braid tells Rowan that he "has secured Vardon, Taylor, Ray & Herd...etc." Dated January 30, 1925 and all in fountain pen with Braid's customary "Jas Braid" signature. Measures 6.75 x 8.
