Description
1911 Walter Travis Signed Letter. This is a short letter dated January 23, 1911 from Walter Travis to the St. Andrews Golf Club requesting one of the "club-books." Travis was the founder and principal editor of The American Golfer magazine, the finest golf publication of its day. Travis has signed this in his customary "W J Travis" flowing fountain pen signature (9+/10). A fabulous association piece from almost one hundred years ago. Page exhibits original mailing folds, insignificant paper loss at right edge and minimal foxing at left, none infringing upon the text at center. LOA from Mark Emerson.
