    R. Forgan semi long nose brassie. Small head, spooned face, brass sole, oval lead back weight, dark brown finish and stein, old neck whipping, stamped "Forgan" shaft, and russet grip. This collectible club, with its block printed "R. Forgan" stamp on the head, was manufactured in the shop of Robert Forgan in St. Andrews, Scotland. Also on the head is the well-known Forgan Prince of Wales feathers. There is a visible crack in the top of the head that runs back to the brass sole. A screw placed in the back of the neck keeps the club playable. This club, with the exception of the screw, appears to be all original. Circa 1885. Head 4 1/8" from toe to heel; 1 3/16" face; 41 3/4" shaft. Fair.
