    Description

    R. Forgan long nose approach putter manufactured in St. Andrews, Scotland by Robert Forgan and Son. This interesting collectible has the block printed "R. Forgan" stamp in the head, as well as its Prince of Wales plume with three feathers. The dark brown or black stain and finish, neck whipping, stamped "Forgan" shaft and russet grip, all appear to be original. There is a small chip on the toe, a smaller one on the face, and the grip is worn down to the underlisting in several spots. Circa 1882. Head 4 7/8" from toe to heel; 1 1/16" face; 37 1/2" shaft. Fair to good.
