    Description

    Oversize wooden mallet head putter stamped "Jean Gassiat." This unusual collectible was invented by the Marquis de Chasseloup-Loubat of Chantilly, France, but popularized by Jean Gassiat, four-time French national golf champion. It has an oversize wooden head with flat top, squared off toe, 1/2 brass sole, stamped hickory shaft and wrapped suede grip. Circa 1922. Neck whipping is replaced, otherwise the condition is very good +.
