    Description

    Long nose play club with stamped "R. Forgan" shaft. Manufactured by Robert Forgan and Son in St. Andrews, Scotland. This interesting old club has the well-known "R. Forgan" block printed stamp in the head, as well as the company's Prince of Wales plume with three feathers. The stain and finish have been renewed, but the face has weathered. The neck whipping is replaced and there is a small crack below the oval lead back weight. Circa 1885. Head 5 1/2" from toe to heel; face 1 1/4" h; 44 1/4" shaft. Average.
