    Description

Hand forged, smooth face cleek manufactured by Carrick in Musselburgh, Scotland. Impressed into the back of the head is the well-known "CARRICK X" stamp. Carrick and John Gray were two of the earliest makers to stamp their names on the back of their clubs. The shaft, stamped "A. Simpson - Maidenhead," is a turn-of-the-century replacement. The patina on the head is good and the russet grip is in very good condition. Circa 1860. Head 4 1/8"l x 1 7/8"h; hosel 4 3/4". Good.
