    Description

    Fergie semi long nose brassie. With spooned face, oval lead back weight, hickory shaft and built-up leather grip. This delicate little club was manufactured by Willie Fergie in Edinburgh, Scotland. Fergie, a bowmaker by trade (Compendium of British Club Makers), started making long nose clubs in the 1880s. The head, stain, finish, neck whipping, hickory shaft and built-up leather wrap grip appear to be original. There is one small worm hole in the neck; the block printed "Fergie" stamp is at a slight angle. The grip shows moderate wear. A nice club. Circa 1885. Head 4 7/8"; 1 1/8" face; 43" shaft.
