1996 US Open Scorecard Signed by Tiger Woods. "I led the US Open at one point," Woods recalled of his first appearance in the tournament at Michigan's Oakland Hills Country Club. "I was tied for the lead. Early in that back nine on Thursday, and collapsed on that coming in. It was all predicated on a ruling that I had on what was it, fourteen? And, I just let that upset me and then played terrible coming in. But the second round, Friday's round is what really turned my sights into possibly turning pro later that summer." Presented here is a relic from the first round of that historic turning point in the career of Tiger Woods.

For the first and second rounds of the US Open, for quite a few years the USGA has paired the defending US Open Champion and reigning British Open Champion with the reigning US Amateur Champion. Hence, Corey Pavin and John Daly (the two Open Champions) were paired with Tiger Woods (twice US Am Champ) in the 1996 US Open's first two rounds. Tiger Woods was the scorekeeper (marker) for Corey Pavin. He carried, marked (in pencil) and attested this exact card--a one of a kind US Open/Tiger Woods collectible. It is a fine example of a summer 1996 Tiger Woods autograph. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
