1996 Tiger Woods Signed Golf Ball Dating to First PGA Tournament Victory. He's won seventy-four official PGA Tour events to date, second only to the legendary Sam Snead, but it all began at the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational, where the youthful golfing phenom provided pro golf fans the first taste of the brilliance to come. The logo of the Tournament Players Cup (venue was the TPC Summerlin) appears on the "Titleist 3" ball along with Woods flawless black sharpie autograph. The experts at PSA/DNA likewise attest to the ball's derivation in their letter of authenticity, stating, "This ball was signed at the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational, Tiger's first tournament win." While Woods is rare on golf balls of any format, the dramatically heightened desirability of one dating to the opening salvo in one of the most decorated careers in the sport's history requires little explication. Arguably it's the most important Woods autographed collectible ever to surface in the hobby, and its Mint condition is really just the icing on top. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
