    Description

1970 Roger Wethered Handwritten Signed Letter. This is a fascinating letter dated March of 1970 from the 1923 British Amateur Champion Roger Wethered to British writer Pat Ward-Thomas. He mentions all three members of The Great Triumvirate--Vardon, Braid & Taylor--and John Ball, Jr. A great lettersigned off as "Yours Sincerely, Roger Wethered." All ink registers at a strength of 9+/10 and the single page of letterhead exhibits original mailing fold, some staining and pencil writing near top, but nothing which could be considered problematic. LOA from Mark Emerson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
