    Description

1940's Bobby Jones Signed Augusta Scorecard. "It seemed that this land had been lying here for years just waiting for somebody to lay a golf course on it," Bobby Jones once said of the parcel of 365 acres in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia that would become a tangible part of his legacy. "Indeed, it looked as it were already a golf course." Born from Jones' desire to have a private course upon which to play, the Augusta National is today widely recognized as the sport's finest, and serves as the home of the illustrious Masters tournament. One lucky linksman caught the Golden Age golf god enjoying a game there and came away from the meeting with this ultimate Jones autograph, penciled upon an unused scorecard from Augusta. A block lettered inscription preceding the 9+/10 autograph is likely in Jones' hand, reading, "To Bobby Chambers from Another Bobby." The scorecard shows minor edge wear, but nothing to diminish the visual appeal. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
