    Description

1939 Jerry Travers Handwritten Signed Letter. Jerry Travers was America's most celebrated amateur golfer from the inception of the USGA Amateur in 1895 until 1913. Travers won it four times from 1907 to 1913 and to add further luster to his career, he became the second amateur to win the US Open in 1915. During the Great Depression he would fall upon hard times and this unique 1939 handwritten letter is symbolic of his plight. A rare autograph in this format. Bold 9+/10 black fountain pen ink is applied to a single page (6 x 9) which exhibits original mailing folds and an insignificant tear at upper border but no troubling flaws. LOA from Mark Emerson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
