    Description

1933 Bobby Jones Signed Photograph, PSA/DNA Mint 9. Extraordinary signed photo dates to the very year that Augusta National, the venerated home of the Masters Tournament founded by Jones and investor Cliff Roberts, opened for play. The classic image of Jones in his follow-through finds the Grand Slam winner in his prime, as does the bold black fountain pen inscription that reads, "To Caroline J. Stephens, With best wishes, Robt. T. Jones, Jr., Sept. 6, 1933." The slightest bend extending perhaps an inch from the right side will only be apparent upon the closest of inspection, otherwise the image presents as NRMT. Jones signed photos from the 1920's and 1930's are quite rare and considerably more desirable than those signed in later years as Jones' health began to fail, and this example rates near the top of that coveted vintage population. Size 8x10". Graded PSA/DNA Mint 9. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Mint 9. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
