    Description

1920's Cyril Walker Signed Photograph. In the first US Open played at Oakland Hills in 1924, a slight Englishman named Cyril Walker beat Bobby Jones by three shots to capture the title. His was a surprise victory and his autograph is very rare. This item is an original Scott Chisholm studio photo taken at the Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles. Walker has signed and inscribed this nicely but there is slight water damage to his handwriting and Walker's given name but not his surname. A bit of toning at the borders must be noted as well, but otherwise the 5 x 7 relic exhibits quite nicely. LOA from Mark Emerson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
