Recreate the 1975 miracle with two of the greatest players in Dallas Cowboys history!

2021 "The Original Hail Mary" NFT 1/1 Including Fan Experience with Roger Staubach & Drew Pearson. While the last-second desperation heave has been a gridiron mainstay for at least a century now, it was a Hall of Fame quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys who effectively coined the terminology that has trailed the tactic ever since. The date was December 28, 1975, and the Minnesota Vikings were on the brink of ending the Cowboys' season in the NFC Divisional round, taking a 14-10 lead late in the fourth quarter. After Staubach hit Pearson for a controversial fourth-and-seventeen to stay alive, the superstar quarterback took the snap just short of midfield with thirty-two seconds remaining. As the famed "Purple People Eaters" were about to consume him, Staubach "closed my eyes and said a Hail Mary."

The pass traveled fifty-five yards to where Drew Pearson was blanketed in tight coverage by Vikings corner Nate Wright. Free safety Paul Krause was sprinting over to assist. Had Staubach gotten a bit more juice on the throw, one of the defenders might have been successful in disrupting the connection, but Pearson's quick readjustment to the underthrown ball sent Wright to the turf, and Krause arrived a moment too late. Pearson found the ball pinned between his elbow and torso and continued unimpeded into the end zone, then heaved the pigskin over the scoreboard and into the Metropolitan Stadium parking lot. Staubach's prayer had been answered, and the Cowboys lived to fight another day, winning 17-14. The miraculous reception remains one of the most celebrated moments in over six decades of franchise history.

This lot features a dynamic recreation of that iconic play as an NFT, the newest genre of collecting depicting one of the NFL's greatest moments from yesteryear. The blockchain secured collectible sets the stage and tells the tale of one of America's Team's greatest moments in thrilling fashion. The creation is a limited 1/1 with no others to be produced making it a one of a kind opportunity for the savvy collector. And it comes complete with a 55 inch Ellipsis NFT monitor to display it, signed by both Staubach and Pearson.

This lot will also give one Heritage client the opportunity to relive that moment with its two key figures, one of whom will earn his long-overdue Canton enshrinement just two weeks before this auction ends. Staubach will be the man inducting Pearson, and surely tales of this "original" Hail Mary will be featured in the services. Now seventy-nine years old, the 1963 Heisman Trophy winner and two-time Super Bowl Champion can still throw a pretty mean long ball, and the Heritage client will be on the receiving end during a meeting to be scheduled at a time and place suitable to Staubach, Pearson and our winning bidder. Beyond the thrill of hauling in a Hail Mary from one of the game's all-time greats, with the coaching of another who did so under much more dramatic circumstances, the winning bidder will be presented with a football signed by the iconic pair, bearing a drawing of the miraculous play.
