Massive game wear from a 2018 Hall of Fame immortal!
2001 Randy Moss Game Worn & Unwashed Minnesota Vikings
Jersey--Photo Matched!Most still consider Jerry Rice the greatest receiver of all-time, but if the argument is narrowed to athletic gifts alone, there are few football experts who would not place Moss at the top of that esteemed ranking. Pairing blistering footspeed with super glue hands, Moss led the National Football League five times in receiving touchdowns, his twenty-three in 2007 a single-season record that stands to this day.
The presented purple mesh jersey is the finest Moss specimen we've encountered, unwashed and coated with various hit marks throughout and a large team repair centered between the rear numerals. These battle scars provided the evidence allowing Resolution Photomatching to assign a November 19, 2001 vintage to the garment, though there's little doubt that multiple games appear upon its resume.
But that late November game was a particularly spectacular one for the six-time Pro Bowler, scoring three of the four Minnesota touchdowns--including a fifty-seven yarder--in a twenty-eight to sixteen victory over the New York Giants for a Monday Night Football national audience. SB Nation ranks the game as Moss' fifth finest as a Viking.
Number "84" is applied in white and yellow tackle twill to chest, shoulders and back, where "Moss" stands in three-inch block above. Upper left chest bears a memorial patch for Korey Stringer, who tragically lost his life to heat stroke during an August training camp workout.
