2001 Pat Mahomes Sr & Jr. Signed Postcard - Signed by Patrick Mahomes as a 6 Year Old with Video Proof! Is it the earliest Patrick Mahomes autograph, possibly. We know that it is the earliest to reach the auction block. Even as a youngster Patrick Mahomes was an attraction. Our consignor volunteered with the Texas Rangers Women's Club and was invited to the team's 2001 seasonal picnic which included an autograph session with a few of the players. One of the autograph attendees was Pat Mahomes who appeared with the team in only 2001. Also there was the relief pitcher's 6-year old son Patrick Jr., playing with his toys and spending a little time with dad. Mahomes Sr. graciously signed this 3x5" photo postcard, and our consignor then asked the little boy if he would also add his name to the offering. The future Kansas City Chiefs quarterback printed his name on the backside in bold blue felt tip. We give the youngster and A+ for penmanship.

The entire story was tweeted by our consignor and subsequently picked up by Mahomes who acknowledged signing at an early stage of his life. The face of the NFL replied: "Haha! Remember signing stuff as a kid with my pops but started before the rangers!" While others may exist, this is definitely an "early" career signature from junior. We have seen signatures from the likes of Jeter and LeBron when they years away from the field, but this represents a true departure from the norm. We will include an on-line video of our consignor describing the unique experience. We will also add a screen grab from Mahomes acknowledging the autograph. Letter of provenance from consignor.
