    The undefeated season!

1972 Miami Dolphins Super Bowl VII Championship Ring Presented to Offensive Tackle Wayne Moore. It's one of the great truisms of American sports that, "on any given Sunday" any NFL team can beat any other. It's a commentary both on the parity built into the system by the salary cap, and the inherent randomness of a game in which a single bounce of an oblong ball could mean the difference between victory and defeat. A few teams have come close to running the table, but only one has made it all the way from the season opener to the Lombardi Trophy.

This singular status imbues any artifact related to the 1972 Miami Dolphins with enormous collecting appeal, but this ultimate symbol of achievement stands head and shoulders above the standard fare. It was issued to starting offensive tackle Wayne Moore, who'd likewise participate in the Super Bowl VIII victory the next season. Moore tragically passed away in 1989 at the age of forty-four, and this ring is accompanied by a 2001 unclaimed ticket from a Miami pawn shop bearing his widow's name.

A genuine diamond is set into a blue stone on the ring's face, with smaller genuine diamonds held in its orbit. Raised text at the perimeter reads, "1972 Miami Dolphins World Champions." Left shank provides team logo with text reading, "Moore" and "Winning Edge." Right shank features figural Lombardi Trophy, Super Bowl VII text and final score, and the historic words, "Perfect Season."

Interior band is stamped "Jostens 14K" and measures to a size thirteen (13). Total weight is forty-seven grams (47 g.). Proud wear evident, but ring still presents beautifully.
