    Population one, only one finer!

1935 National Chicle Bronko Nagurski #34 PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. Literally and figuratively one of the giants of the early professional game, Nagurski rose from prominence as a two-way superstar for the University of Minnesota to become the most celebrated member of the 1930's Chicago Bears. He'd help deliver three NFL Championships to the Windy City during his nine seasons under George Halas, and would join his iconic coach as one of the inaugural inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

But his elite skills account for only a portion of the desirability of this exceptional cardboard commemorative which, like the fabled 1952 Topps Mantle, is further elevated by the relative rarity of its late-series production. Compare the full PSA population to Knute Rockne, a key card from the early series, and you'll find the tragic Notre Dame coach more than doubling the Nagurski census.

But even among the scant few survivors, this Nagurski distinguishes itself through its stunningly fine state of preservation, exhibiting virtually no suggestion that it has existed since the dark days of the Great Depression. Corners remain sharp, surfaces clean. Add to those plaudits the fine original production, resulting in sharp registration and well-balanced borders, and it's no surprise that only a single specimen has ever garnered a stronger PSA assessment. An investment-quality piece, particularly for those who believe that football cards are generally undervalued at present relative to the entrenched baseball market.

    Signature®: Heritage Live!┬« Floor Sessions
Auctions designated as "Heritage Live" have continuous bidding from the time the auction is posted on our site through the live event. When normal Internet bidding ends ten minutes before the floor session for each lot, you can visit and continue to place Live Proxy bids. Your secret maximum bids placed prior to the live event will compete against the live bids. When the item hits the auction block, you can continue to bid live through against the floor and other live bidders with streaming audio and video of the auction. You also have the option to bid live by phone. Call (800) 872-6467 Ext. 1150 and ask for phone bidding assistance at least 24 hours prior to the live auction.

Signature® Sessions With Extended Bidding These sessions are presented only online and bidding is only taken through our website. There are two phases of bidding during this type of auction: 1) Normal bidding: Bids are taken up until 10 PM CT the night the auction closes. 2) 30 Minute Ending: On a lot-by-lot basis, starting at 10:00 PM CT, any person who has bid on the lot previously may continue to bid on that lot until there are no more bids for 30 minutes. For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 10:15, the new end time for that lot would become 10:45. If no other bids were placed before 10:45, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 30 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding). If you are the only bidder at 10 PM, you will automatically win the lot at 10:30.
Important: After normal bidding ends, you must be signed-on to the Heritage site to see the bidding option on lots where you qualify for extended bidding.
