    Description

Early 1990's Dan Marino Game Worn & Signed Cleats with Unusual Adidas Stripes--Photo Matched!
One would be hard pressed to find a pair of Marino gamers more intriguing than the pair of cleats offered here. Originally obtained from a member of the Miami Dolphins equipment staff, the size 12 "Pony" cleats were disguised as "Adidas" cleats by the Hall of Fame quarterback, as he was presumably under contract with Pony and the Dolphins were under contract with Adidas at the time.

Photomatched to a notable Costacos Brothers poster, which is not included with the lot, the left shoe is signed in light black ink by Marino. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, they will most certainly turn the heads of the most astute gridiron hobbyists. Letter of provenance from original owner. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
