Description

Early 1970's Don Maynard Game Worn Jersey. A favorite target of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath, this was the jersey that Broadway Joe looked for first when fading back to pass. The heavy knit jersey bears all of the trademarks of Maynard's preferred style, with the jersey hemmed above the tag line and the sleeves cropped to the edge of the green insert, as seen in photography from the era. Number "13" appears in green tackle twill on chest and verso, and in white at each sleeve. "Maynard" is spelled across rear name plate. Uniform expert Lou Lampson attests to the "Sand-Knit" manufacturing of the jersey, and the proper sizing of 46-48. Wear is light but definite, and the display is bolstered by the addition of a 10/10 silver sharpie signature from Maynard, who makes note of his 1987 Hall of Fame induction. LOA from Lou Lampson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
