Description

Early 1970's Chuck Howley Game Worn Jersey. Six times a Pro Bowler, and the first defensive player ever to be named Super Bowl MVP, this superstar linebacker ruled the field for thirteen years as a Dallas Cowboy. Here we present a late career home white mesh gamer, exhibiting fantastic season-long wear rarely seen in more modern football jerseys. Number "54" is sewn in royal blue tackle twill to chest, back and shoulders, with "Howley" sewn across a rear nameplate bearing a jagged team repair. The remnants of further bone-jarring action can be found on the sleeves particularly, where resides another healthy repair. The jersey body was made by "Southland" and the company's label and flap size tag "50" is sewn into the inner neckline. The font style, unique to the Cowboys in the '60's and '70's, is correct as is the placement, color hue, size and affixing. The durene sleeves with embedded feather edged striping is also a desirable feature coveted by collectors. In short, a picture-perfect Howley gamer. LOA from Lou Lampson.
