Early 1950's George Connor Game Worn Chicago Bears Sideline Sweater. A two-time NCAA champion at Notre Dame, linebacker/tackle George Connor spent his entire pro career in the Windy City, where he would go on to make four Pro Bowls and the 1940's NFL All Decade Team. Presented here is Connor's sideline sweater, which is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Connor's teammate Jim Dooley. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, the navy blue garment features "BEARS" in orange felt on the back, while his No. 71 is sewn in the left sleeve. The proper Wilson tag remains in the collar, while several small unrepaired holes are displayed throughout. Letter of provenance from Jim Dooley. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
