Description

Circa 1974 Curly Culp Game Worn Kansas City Chiefs Jersey - Kindler Collection. An NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion while at Arizona State, Curly Culp excelled as a superstar defensive tackle while in the National Football League. A five-time NFL Pro Bowler, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013, Culp wore this game-used rarity during the the mid-1970s in Kansas City. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, its original single-color "Culp" nameplate was removed after the team switched font style, and the two-color "Culp" nameplate was then added in either 1973 or 1974 (Culp was the only player to wear 61 from 1968-74). In addition, the proper "Russell [size] 54" tag is in the tail. A tremendous piece from the legendary player, who was an instrumental part of the Chiefs Super Bowl IV--winning team. LOA from Ian Kindler. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
