    Description

Circa 1968 Chris Gilbert Game Worn University of Texas Longhorns Jersey. The first player in NCAA history to record three 1,000-yard rushing seasons, Chris Gilbert wore this jersey during his illustrious collegiate career in the Lonestar State. An All-American in 1968, and a fifth round selection in the NFL Draft, Gilbert put numerous tears in the armpit area of each arm, while the burnt orange knit jersey presents the proper screened-on numerals, and "Texas Sporting Goods Austin [size] 46" tags in the collar. In addition, the correct washing instructions tag is in the tail. One of few jerseys in existence representing the 'Horns of the late 1960's, this one is a superb example from the College Football Hall of Fame fullback. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
