Circa 1966-67 Sonny Jurgensen Game Worn Washington Redskins "Warm Weather Mesh" Jersey. One of the most popular athletes ever to play in our nation's capital, Sonny Jurgensen led the league in touchdown passes in 1961 and 1967, and was named to the Pro Bowl five times during his Hall of Fame career. A notable alum who led the Duke collegiate football program in the 1950's, Jurgensen wore this rare style warm weather mesh jersey in the mid 1960's while with the Redskins.

Obtained directly from the family of Redskins trainer/equipment manager Fred Baxter, the size 46 "Champion" shirt displays screened on identifiers on the front, back and sleeves, while solid wear is exhibited throughout (one unrepaired tear above the front No. 9). One of the most uncommon style Redskins jerseys in existence, this is one of few original gamers representing the legendary QB. Letter of provenance from the family of Washington Redskins assistant trainer/equipment manager Fred Baxter. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
