Circa 1955 Alan Ameche Game Worn Baltimore Colts Rookie-Era Jersey - Photo Matched! Best remembered for winning the Heisman Trophy as a star fullback with the Wisconsin Badgers in 1954, Alan Ameche also holds a significant place in sports history for scoring the winning touchdown in the 1958 NFL Championship Game, often cited as "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Presented here is Ameche's blue Durene jersey that he wore during the era of his first NFL season, and Resolution Photomatch has definitely matched it to an undated image.

Displaying approximately 20 team repairs throughout, the absolutely hammered showpiece has the proper MacGregor size 48 tag in the tail. In addition, sewn-on tackle twill numerals are on the front, back and sleeves. LOA from Heritage Auctions. LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
