Circa 1941 Notre Dame Game Worn Sideline Sweater. One of the most revered programs in all of college football, the University of Notre Dame commands comparable prowess among discerning memorabilia collectors. Presented here is a navy blue wool sweater that was issued to a Fight Irish coach or player around the early 1940's. Displaying a scattering of moth holes, the classically style garment exhibits medium wear and has the proper "Spalding" tag in the tail. Originally obtained via an online auction from a seller claiming that it originated from the family of a military colonel who was on a football scholarship at Notre Dame in 1941, it displays superbly. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
