2020 Drew Brees Game Worn New Orleans Saints Jersey--Photo Matched to 12/20 vs. Chiefs. If anybody had wondered if this future first-ballot Hall of Famer was intent upon hanging up his cleats at the end of the 2020 season, that last look over his shoulder at the Superdome as he entered the tunnel following the Saints NFC Divisional playoff loss to Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers appeared to answer the question. Father Time spares no man, not even the one who now stands atop the career passing leaders rankings as the only man north of 80,000 yards. While it appears likely that Brady will assume that record next year, there's no denying that Drew Brees is one of the greatest players in the history of the National Football League.

Brees would appear only four more times after wearing this black and gold jersey in what would prove to be his final regular season defeat, suffered on December 20, 2020 at the hands of the reigning NFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs. Brees matched Mahomes at the Dome that day with three touchdown passes, netting 234 yards with a long of fifty-one.

The unwashed garment is still pungent with Brees' perspiration, and bears a scattering of hit marks that have provided the necessary data points for definitive photo matching by Sports Investors Authentication. Number "9" appears on front and back, as well as on each sleeve beneath the famous Saints logo fleur-de-lis. "Brees" stands in 2.75" block across rear nameplate. Upper right and left chest hold the captain's "C" and the logo of The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award worn by all past recipients--Brees claimed the honor in 2006.

Interior collar bears "Nike/NFL On Field Skill" tagging with size "46" identifier and flap tag indicating this was a 2018 shell carried over to 2020. "Fanatics" sticker on tagging matches certificate of authenticity signed by the Saints' equipment manager, which likewise attributes the jersey to the December 20, 2020 contest.
