2011 Drew Brees Game Worn New Orleans Saints Jersey - Photo Matched 12/18 vs. Vikings (and 2 other games!). "Drew Brees' huge game powers New Orleans Saints to 42-20 victory over Vikings," trumpeted the headline of The Times-Picayune the evening of Sunday December 18, 2011, just hours after the future Hall of Fame quarterback completed what was arguably the finest games of his career, and among the top quarterback performances in the history of the League. Never before had a QB completed eighty percent of his passes (32 of 40) while exceeding 400 yards (412) and recording five touchdowns with zero interceptions. These eye-popping stats powered the Crescent City to its sixth consecutive victory and furthered the cause for Brees' eventual recognition as the Associated Press' 2011 Offensive Player of the Year.

Also photomatched to the Saints' November 13 and December 11 victories of 2011, the white mesh jersey worn by Brees as he posted a ridiculous 149.2 passer rating at Mall of America Field in front of a disappointed Minnesota sell-out crowd of 62,523. Ironclad provenance is provided in the form of photo matches from the contest and a signed letter from the Saints VP on team letterhead. Most evident in the former is a team repair on the upper right chest that perfectly matches the positioning of an unrepaired hole about an inch and a half below the Captain's patch. Some abrasions on the shoulders are too small to appear in photography, but speak to NFL action.

Brees' number "9" appears in black and gold tackle twill on chest, back and shoulders, with logo fleur-de-lis affixed to each elasticized sleeve. "Brees" stands in three and a half inch block on rear nameplate. Interior collar holds "07-46" and "S" swatches, the former suggesting the jersey was produced several years before its use by Brees, not uncommon for teams utilizing identical styles for multiple seasons. Manufacturer's labeling has been lost to the elasticized hem customization as is also quite typical, but the proper "100% Nylon, Berlin, WI" tag remains at interior side seam. LOA from Resolution Photomatching. Multiple photo matches. Team letter. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
