Few mainstream football fans will even remember the season Brett Favre left his beloved Packers and joined the New York Jets, but serious game-worn jersey collectors will relish this catalog listing as an extremely rare opportunity to obtain a photo matched gamer from the Gunslinger's Big Apple debut, when his 194 passing yards and two touchdowns lifted the Jets to a 20-14 victory over the dreaded Dolphins in The Magic City. Favre can also be seen wearing this jersey on the cover of the 9/15 issue of Sports Illustrated.Green mesh jersey sports green/white dazzlecloth shoulders/sleeves, white/green striped shoulder inserts, sewn-on white tackle twill identifiers, team patch, captain's "C" and NFL shield. "BCG8114X" tag in collar. Best of all might be the Gene Upshaw disc patch on the right shoulder, memorializing the life and career of the Raiders' Hall of Fame offensive lineman, which the Jets only for the the season opener.
