2005 Peyton Manning Game Worn Indianapolis Colts Jersey. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are intertwined into the history of pro football. When Manning decides to call it quits, he will most likely own every major statistical quarterback record to speak of. The only other combination of quarterback excellence which can compare are Joe Montana and Dan Marino. Given the team sheet which accompanies, we believe Manning donned this "Reebok [size] 50" jersey when he encountered Brady in the regular season. It is safe saying Manning won that battle as he connected on three touchdowns for 321 yards in a 40-21 triumph. Each of the identifiers is created in single-color blue tackle twill and "Manning" is properly placed on a nameplate. Manning's customary floppy sleeves (nearly 4" from the end of the number to edge) are visible. Some fraying appears on the sleeve numbers. At least three minor contact marks are exposed on the reverse "1". Dazzle cloth shoulders support a traditional mesh body. Spandex sides are installed for a more comfortable feel. Appearing in the collar is an "05-50" swatch while the tail holds three tags: Reebok, "4" L.B." and size.
This jersey was gifted to a Colts team employee according to our consignor. Worth special mention is a sheet which came with the jersey and attends. The plain sheet has "Peyton Manning Game Worn Jersey At New England Nov. 7, 2005 Colts 40 Patriots 21" in large type format. This was done by the Colts equipment staff for prominent players who wore more multiple jerseys during the season. We have encountered examples of Joseph Addai and Dwight Freeney in the exact same format. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
